Good Hair Day

I had to take pictures of Gabby yesterday because I can't believe how much hair she has! It is so long! If it is straight forward it's practically in her eyes. The only problem is she HATES when I do her hair... I was the same way!

My 3 Problems

I am not exactly enjoying my temporary stay here in my shoe box house that we don't fit in. I can't keep my house picked up because there is nowhere to put our stuff. I hope one day I will look back and laugh. Right now, I'm not thinking this is funny.

So, I have three major problems that I'm not sure how to go about fixing.

I tell Shaun the best idea I can come up with is...... light a match and run!!!

# 1 The "Toy corner"

# 2 The closet......lack of

# 3 The kitchen/tee shirt storage unit

This is Shaun's new order of Venetian Homes shirts for all of his sub-contractors.....They have been here for 2 weeks now.....Um, would this be an issue for anyone else? I keep asking him to find other arrangements for his shirts but he says no dice!

More Pictures from Africa...

This Elephant was just wandering along the road not letting us pass. We were in our van just putting behind him. We didn't want him to step on us...or trunk us or whatever. HUGE!

This is a cute baby Rhino! His mom got killed so he was rescued. We got to see him eat his bottles... 2, 2 liter bottles with "rhino formula". It was the cutest thing ever. His skin pretty much felt like a tire. The baby goat... Just leashed there to keep the little guy company. Haha.

The baby lions!!! So cute! They were a little wild. Shaun was getting rough with them so the little one by the fence put a hole in his shirt to teach him a little lesson. Good times!

Bangal Tigers! Shaun tried to hold this little fella like some kind of poodle or kitten....Not so much! He didn't like the idea. But Shaun was determined to 'hold' the tiger.

This one's for Abby...It is just a little hair salon, in the middle of nowhere! If you can enlarge it is says something about straight hair.....curls.... I can't really read it. Haha, I thought you'd enjoy this one.

We have a little problem!

I can't seem to stop buying Gabby shoes! Well, I have a problem with buying her things in general but shoes are an issue.

Slam your face

I am not sure what is so amazing inside that ball... This picture is one of my current favorites because she loves to sit and play with this toy. She beats her little hands on it and laughs every time she slams her mouth into it!! It cracks me up every time. This is also my favorite toy because it buys me time to blog. what a loser.

Tubby time!

Gabby absolutely loves the tub. She kicks, splashes, tries to grab the running water and reaches for everything in site! I took these pictures yesterday morning. She sits on the floor in the hall and watches me fill her tub, and she knows when it's bathtime!!! I love to give her a bath, what a cutie!

Gabrielle

My Little Gabby is getting so big I wonder where my little baby went. Time really flies and it makes my kinda sad. I wonder when I will be ready for another one. I can't believe she will be 1 year in June! I got her a little pink birthday dress that is so killer! I can't wait. But for now I love the age and stage she is at.

Food for Thought

Saturday is my day with my husband. Everyone else gets no attention or time from him, and every Saturday we go to Tom's deli. We started doing this back in August. We have taken Gabby to Tom's with us for our weekly tradition and we have only missed a few days. We recently started giving Gabby table food...Her favorite, that she will not turn down....Tom's sourdough bread. Just last week we had to upgrade her to her own Loaf. We cut the loaf in half and Gabby ate the entire half last Saturday!!!! I wasn't thinking much of it except how fun it is that our little family is freakishly in love with Tom's. I was telling my mom that Gabby likes bread and she'll won't stop til its gone. Then she informed me that little Gabby probly won't be able to poop for a week. Aw, later that night she was in full tears trying to poopy. It was so sad, I thought I was the worst mom!

So, BALANCED DIET IS KEY! Everyone and their dog already knows this, but I guess when it comes to MY OWN CHILD, I FORGOT!

I just wonder how long we will be at Tom's on Saturdays. See you there. This picture was actually taken right after lunch ;)

Our Story In A Nutshell

Shaun and I have been married coming up on 4 years in April. Time flies the second you're not thinking about it. We had our little girl last summer on June, 3 2006. Exactly one month after I graduated from Dixie State College with my degree in Elementary Education. I was ready to pop walking through the 'D'. Good thing no one really looks good in a cap and gown- because I didn't. Luckily, they are like bed sheets and they were black!

Shaun started building houses three years ago and quickly ventured out on his own to start his own company, Venetian Homes. He has really enjoyed this business. He also started a mortgage company (City First Mortgage) late last year, as well as a wood product supply bussiness (United Wood Products). He has a warehouse in Mexico where he works closely with a company there, and sells products to stair and cabinet shops here in St. George. He is currently working on deals outside of Utah as well. This explains why I never see much of my husband (who is married to his work and cell phone)!

Things are crazy in our lives as Shaun is nearing completion of two of his homes in St. Georges' new golf community, the Ledges. I am looking forward to seeing him a little more often after the Parade of Homes is finnished.

Gabby is 8 months old now and really getting big on us! She practices lots of new tricks everyday. I worry a lot now that I have to keep an extra close eye on her. I am really looking forward to the summer with my little family.

It's true, life doesn't really start until you start having kids. That is our purpose for being here! I never knew I could feel so much joy and fullfilment each day.
