Best belly comment yet!!!

Tonight was my niece Addi's 4th birthday party at the Bear Mill. I had reservations about going in the first place since I'm embarrassed and not really into public appearances at my present state. But like I was going to miss a fun, fabulous family party. Gabby had picked out her choice and I stood in line by her side (of course). There were 3 older boys there in front of us and they all kept glancing back at me, or my stomach I should say. I'm guessing they were about 7 or 8 ish? 2 of them had the following conversation:

"Dude, What do you think is under her shirt?"
"A bouncy ball?"
"Dude, bouncy balls are NOT that big!"
I interjected politely and said, "I'm having a baby."
They looked at each other and one said, "Gross!"

I do think it is hillarious as ever! That is exactly why I had to write it down right when I got home so I wouldn't forget.
I was totally embarrassed but it was so very classic.

You don't look prego because your so tiny and trim everywhere but that belly of Stella. You don't even look prego from the back! Then rest of us just get dang fat all over! You do look like you have a bouncy ball under your shirt because of those facts! You are adorable! I keep telling you we are going to send you to therapy for your self image problem! The world wishes they could look like you!

Hey just got your message about the sleeping issues... Sam hasnt slept great since he's been potty trained. I know thats not what you wanted to hear eh?

There was a point right after he was potty trained that he was hating his crib so I started putting him in the bed in the extra room. That didnt last too long with me because I had to lay by him to fall asleep for nap and night time so I forced the crib back. I just had to be way stricked about it. That worked and he starting liking it again. But he still would wake up in the night to pee. Everynight!

So now for the past month he has been in a bed. He totally started sleeping like crap and he just looked so huge in his crib so i got rid of it. He has been doing great. He still takes naps and goes to bed at 7:30. He still wakes up once a night to go pee though which totally bites but ohwell.. I guess its better than him peeing the bed, right?

I think the bed thing was a good thing for sam. He liked the idea of a "big boy bed". And I think its just way more comfortable for him. I just have to make sure I'm consistant with naps and night time. And I also threaten him with his toys if he comes out of his room. He always has to sleep with toys and i have to tell hiim i'll throw them away if he comes out. MIght not be the best thing to do but it works for him.

This is getting SUPER long. Is Gabby still in a crib? Yay for the potty training! Sometimes I wondered if it was worth it because of all the crap that came with the potty training.. you feeling that too?

You're in a different sitch than me though. you've got a baby coming so im sure it makes you that much more stressed about gabby. Hang in there. HOepfully she'll start getting the hang of everything! Goodluck with the baby!
