...Christmas 2009 Part 2...

The Princess couch may have been the biggest hit ever for Gabby. I hate it.
Little HK gumball and water dispenser... Bad idea.

Cutest biker babe in WFields! (yep, she was carrying a naked baby in her baby carrier)

..Christmas 2009...

It's been 2 years since I've had an official tree agian. 9 footer. I loved it. But I'm no good with ribbon. But really, is any one surprised? I have zero skills!
Santa searched hi and lo for this Hello Kitty bike. It was a Hello Kitty kind of Christmas at the Sully res.
The DS. She has mad skills. Blows me away... She's 3!
I'm the first to admit, Stella got the shaft. She got a ladybug scooter and the pop up tents...
A few outfits and some great stuff from the grandparents. But really, she just wants anything and everything. So, she was spoiled by everyone else. We gave Santa the okay to go easy on her

Merry Christmas to all and to all a happy 201o!!!

Sweet Gabrielle

(Today, 12/03/09) you're 3 and a HALF! I can't believe it's come and gone. I love your little voice and cute little timid shyness around new people. Then you burst with conversation that moves at the speed of light. You love all things girly, sparkly, pink, purple, jeweled, bright and the list goes on and on. I never in my wildest dreams thought I would get a girl so girly! My dreams came true. You love to dance and sing and simply run loose through the house.
I enjoy your constant conversations with me or Stell in the car telling us what you see, what we should say or how it is our turn to sing. You know it all and even know it all for everyone else too.

Details special to me
****************************************************
Some things you said that I never want you or me to forget:

"Mom, when I was a tiny baby and the Dr. took me out of your tummy was I bawling because I wanted to go back to Jesus?"

Mom, why is your tummy a little bit chubby all the time? Are you having a brother for me?

"Stell is pretty chubby but we really love her"

"My Grandma sherril is kinda old and wears glasses but she is really pretty"

Why does ****'s mommy have rasins all over her face?

"One time I was getting Ariel tattoos on my hands and Jesus said, "Gabby, don't do that, it's bad" so my mommy got me in the tub."

Gabby: Mom lets go to Jibby Johns and get a diet coke. Me: Um, we aren't getting Diet Coke anymore because it's bad for our tummy's" Gabby: We can just go to a different store to get a different kind of diet.

"Can I borrow your wedding dress and those white flowers and sparkly shoes so me and my prince charming could go get married in Las Begas?

I was tucking you into bed... "mom, make room for Gaston, him is taking his boots off so he doesn't get my bed dirty." (excuse me!?)

Your prince charmings changed on a daily/hourly basis. Ranging from, Aladin, Gaston, Beast, Prince Philip, or Prince Charming or even Cinjun from your pre school class...

You make me laugh, hysterically most days. You get a feisty attitude and really like your way but have such a soft little heart and rarely make a scene longer than a minute. You are for sure a joy and have been a easy little toddler. You are doing so good in your preschool class at Barefoot Montessori. You love to color and draw. You draw people, smiley faces, suns, some letters/numbers and are getting really good at hearts too.
You are so beautiful and kind to others. You love your friends and family more than anything. You are so thoughtful of others and concerned for people. You are genuine and sweet.
I'm so glad Heavenly father trusted me to be your mother and gave me this privilege. I love you so much my Gabby girl.

FAMILY PICTURES 09'

(Shaun was practically on his knees and I'm wearing 5" heels...
Still a height difference. Our 16 inch height difference really cramps picture day!)

Gabby was a total and I mean total stinker! She was not having it. Our shoot was short. I was totally bummed out that I didn't get any of the girls together or individuals of the Gabber but what did I except? She isn't a huge fan of smiling for total strangers. I'm not sure where she gets that from... (Hint: me!!!)

Stella the hippo baby turned one and it seems like she was born weeks ago. This baby thing flies by. I'm sure the 3rd will grow up even faster. I am just trying to sit back and enjoy as I take it all in.

We had a fun little family party for Stell and it was perfect. Grandma Heidi busted out her serious cake makin' skills along with Jenny to make this cute mod/hippo cake to match her birthday banner and shirt. Wow, it all turned out so cute I think! Thanks to all the help!

Stella was the life of her party and loved every minute of it! She dove right into the chocolate cake and never held back once the fondant was off. We loved to watch her interact with the cousins as they helped her unwrap her gifts and go to town on the new toys! She was in heaven.

How Mom felt: I didn't want this day to end. I had so much fun getting everything all ready for you. I loved that you were my one year old because as a mother it feels like a year of accomplishments for both of us. Watching you grow and meeting your ever little need is the act of pure selfless love that cannot be taught or learned or faked. I love you Stell, Happy birthday.

[ONE] year

Birthday Girl

Stella Jane you're one year old! I would have missed it if I blinked. Luckily I kept my eyes wide open. I watched your endless stares. I watched you look at your little family with loving adoring eyes. Each day you put your trust in me that I would be there no matter what. I can count on one finger the night(s) you fussed and couldn't settle down. You have been an angel since your arrival that cold December morning. I prayed and prayed that this delivery would go nice and smooth so we could peacefully get acquainted. I felt different giving birth this time around- Confident in my ability to love and care for you. I already knew how to do everything just right without that constant worry. You made me happier than I could have imagined; I worried that I couldn't love another child quite as much as I'd loved the first. How could there be any room in my heart? There was a space just for you to fill and I'm positive it's spilling over.
I love you Stella Jane!
Love, Mommy

@ [ONE] you:

Mediocre Mother

I have totally abandoned my blog mostly because I don't have the patience to put up with my computers internal issues. I have to "force quit" about every 2 seconds with makes it fun to use and it won't upload pictures...

The past couple weeks have been crazy like everyone's lives right? I mean when exactly is life not crazy and full of, "oh we just laid around all week" moments. I don't think those are the things we look forward to. So, we have been getting our vaccinations, going to school, getting ready for the holidays, putting our Halloween decorations "back to bed" and realizing we need to buy a Christmas tree! I want to get one from the Jubilee.
I love Christmas, but don't love the stress of getting everything done in a hurry and stressing the whole time.

Last week I picked Gab up from school and needed to head to the post office for about the 50th time. I had a tired baby, and a 3 year old... This 3 year old waited so nice in the line smashing her sisters face between her hands and talking adorable baby talk to keep her entertained and to "calm down, Gabby's here." We only had 2 people left in front of us. There were about 6 people behind us. Suddenly Gabby is freaking out saying how bad she has to go potty. FOR THE LOVE! She said, "mommy I'm trying to hold it so hard but some came out in my panties and I don't want my boots to get wet!" Of course not!
She got out of school at 3. It was now 3:32... Does the post office have a restroom? Of course not! We flew out the door to the nearest..... Dental office? yeah. They were happy to have us. Then, business was handled and we were right back in line. At the END. it was now 3:42. We had been at the post office merely hanging out for almost an hour. I was loving it:)

2 days after the 'day at the post office' I left the room for a couple minutes thinking Stella was still in her bouncer, no. I had taken her out. Um, we haD no gate yet. She was heading up our horrifying stairs. She had never even touched them or been near them. Well, she made it up 10 of them!!!!!! Ahhh. I'm SUCH a good mom. She was not even phased except beyond ecstatic about her accomplishment. I screamed and flew up them to rescue her and felt sorry for myself and my lack of responsibility the rest of the afternoon. I ate a doughnut or 2.

Also, Don't dress up as a witch for Halloween and wear 'Mambo' colored loose powder on your cheeks for 'witch' blush. It is not a good idea and comes out looking like you're sea sick. Halloween was a total loss this year. I was SO not prepared with appropriate costumes. We were all kinda last minute witches and it didn't make for a good photo op.

Have a great week!! This week has GOT to be better than last for me...

School Pictures

"picture day." Gabby just loves Barefoot. I'm glad that is where we decided to enroll her.

I don't have a scanner so this is a picture of the picture via photo booth. Hence the sweet quality and lighting.

Mediocre Mother Monday: (Chubby) Computer Mom

It's true, I don't give myself enough credit for all that I do. But, I don't wanna get into the mentality that wiping my kids bum earns me points in the grand scheme of things because lets face it, it's required. Its not a lot of fun but they are cute bums and I get plenty of interesting conversation while fulfilling my requirements each day.
Gabby actually came in last week while I was sitting @ my computer and said, "please could you play with me now?" She had been so busy playing while Stella slept and had not made a peep for almost an hour. I felt guilt wash over me so I went in and let her do my makeup yet again. Then she asked me (I don't remember her exact words) if I wanted to put on one of her prettyful dresses so I didn't look like a computer mom all day. Oh wow, A computer mom... Enough said about where I'm spending too much "quality" time. I told her, "I would love to wear one of your dresses but I don't think it would fit." She said, "Oh yeah, you're a tiny bit too chubby." Ahhh! She is now on this kick where if someone is "bigger" for instance, a pregnant woman she talks/yells about it. Plenty loud for them to hear. There was the CUTEST tiny/huge pregnant girl in Target weeks ago and she kept repeating herself, "Mom why does her have a really chubby tummy?" Or something along the lines of, why is that man really so chubby?
We have officially entered the 'my child speaks and embarrasses me' stage. I kinda love it!

I don't have much to say since I got most of it off my chest a few days back (that must be why my 'no-longer-nursing' breasts have shriveled up to a sparse B cup).
So, I'm off to watch what still remains on the DVR. I mean, polish my silver.

Jibber Jabber

My blog is amazing to me because I love my life and all that it is filled with. It is just a great way to record life as it passes to share with your kids and family. BUT, I used to love to blog for the mind spewing opportunity I let off every once in awhile. Not for negative things, just let off whatever had been brewing for who knows how long (while being held hostage by my 3 yr. old).
I have to admit the famous "anonymous" rude-olph the snot nosed commenter(s) really pissed me off. I don't care if you think I'm a bragger. I'm actually not. I feel like I do share things that make me happy and things I get excited about... I don't blab about elaborate gifts, trips, or whatever you meanies are imagining. I don't recall ever blogging any "look what I have", or "look what I can do" type of posts. I read my friends blogs and see flowers, new shoes, jewelry they received as a surprise, their homes being built, or a great pair of jeans they splurged on and think to myself, "Wow, good for them! That is so fabulous. I also realize people love their children more than thighs love a donut shop and that their blog is all about their children and all they are because it's for them! There is no such thing as over loving your kids and being too happy about all they do and say. If you get 'nauseated' by my blog for whatever reason, please click elsewhere in the future. I never wish people didn't have it good, or wish they were miserable in life by way of being jealous and or writing hurtful things to them on their personal site and hide my identity for the sake of who knows what. I can't think of much that is more inappropriate when it comes to blogging.
In the future, If you consider yourself a "friend" as the few of you mentioned or acted as if you had known me since grade school then left your comment with one of these: :), please, send me a private email to air your feelings out about how much I brag and nauseate you.
Here's to blogging because I feel like it.

I am so proud to say I deleted 5+ shows from the ol' DRV roster last week! Yeah, there are a few left... that is so pathetic. I have said goodbye to Greys, Glee, One Tree Hill, MTV all in itself, and Chelsea Lately. The only one I watched religiously was Greys but I'm kinda done being a waste of space. I'm pretty sick about the fact that in relief society under the "hobbies and special interests" I had to write: wish I had some... Please teach me @ enrichment. 619-****. I believe shortly after writing that I shot a comment over to Carly P and s.o.s'd her to teach me to sew. Then started hitting up "sewing night" at Lacey's round the corner with no machine or fabric to my name! I have nothing I'm good at or enjoy outside of "husbands company" or "being a mother of 2" So, heres to learning new skills and developing some talent up in here. Somehow... I'm not gonna start singing acapella into the webcam but I may just buy a sewing machine!
The first step is admitting you have a problem right?! (too much TV) Now, I'll fill the void somehow.
With that being said, I'm going to start writing on my blog on Mondays for my "Mediocre Mother Monday" Because I enJOY writing.
Enjoy.

I've fallen for FALL

I am under a spell. I got the itch to bust out my decorations that have been in deep, DEEP hibernation for about 3 years.
I love fall. I can't wait to take Gabby on countless drives again this year to find all the "scary houses" and dress them up on Halloween!

Suite @ the Marriott

We decided spur of the moment on Friday evening to get out of town and cater to the kids/Gabby all weekend. We packed up and headed to Vegas, used some Marriott points and stayed @ the JW in Summerlin. It was WONDERFUL!!!
We started out by visiting the Lied Children's museum on Saturday morning. WAY fun for all of us! Me and Shaun even really enjoyed ourselves. Gabby could not get enough! It is all 100% hands on experiences. After spending half the day there we went back to the hotel for naps. Then off to the pool then dinner and bedtime.
Sunday we woke up and headed to Circus Circus since it is Gab's favorite place on the planet... {yuck!} She could have rode that awful carousel til' it broke down. and the hot air balloon ferris wheel was also a hit. Most of the rides are total kiddie rides so it was perfect for her. Then we took her to the New outdoor mall, Town Center or whatever it's called. The playground there is so cute. I'm tempted to run wild there... She loves that tree house thing with slides and the little pretend kitchen. Then it was off to yogurt Land and Sanrio, then home. We planned the whole weekend just for her. Stella was just happy to be a part of all the excitement. It was fun to get away and just play as a family. We had the best time!

Circus Circus!

Hot air balloon ride. Stella's favorite from what we could tell
Yogurt Land. Yes, Stella had plenty!
After a sweaty good time @ the playground, We enjoyed the nice weather and strolled along the park area.
