4 Months- Rice Cereal=Love at first bite

ALWAYS grabbin the toes
Hookin your big toe on the tray like always
You loved this stuff
Feeling good

When the day rolled around to feed Stella rice cereal I wasn't expecting her to like it really.  Gabby just kind of accepted it but didn't favor it.

Stella busted up laughing the minute it hit her lips! It was too cute.  We all 3 watched as each bite was just as funny to her as the one before.  By the time I have video rolling she was done laughing {of course!}.  She has really liked her rice cereal from that moment on.

We love our little Stella girl.
She loves to be in the Bumbo while we are all in the kitchen.  I had to get a picture of her toes. She always "hooks" her big toes on the tray.  I think its pretty cute.

@ 4 months you:
Still have acid reflux bad.  Its annoying to us both, but you're still the ultimate 'best' baby.
You sleep okay but wake up at 4, 5, or 6 ish to eat.
You put yourself to sleep but not after at least an hour has past since you've eaten. Usually 2 hours.  Since you spit, burp, blow chunks, and drool for that long after meals, it's just too uncomfortable for you to sleep any sooner:(
You roll like no body's business.  First roll date: March 26th. So you were not quite 4 months yet.  (We're still wondering how you get that head off the ground).
You LOVE Gabby!!! She always says, "Hey sissy!" in the Highest voice possible.
You are a momma's girl for sure.
You smile, laugh, and talk non stop.
You are so fun to have in our family
You are happy in your car seat for the LONGEST time
We leave you in your car seat when we get to church and 90% of the time you stay there, have a good nap and then get out and smile at everyone.
You didn't cry for your last shots!
You still WILL NOT eat anything on earth from a bottle. I've bought almost every type of bottle there is.
I love you more each minute! You are such a little ball of joy.  I feel so lucky to be your mommy.

Mothers Day 09'

Sunday was wonderful! With the exception that I was seriously super sick as a dog Saturday night well into the wee hours.  My always fabulous husband let me sleep in. WAY in! I managed to pull it together for church (late of course but what's new).
We headed over to the Highland park for a picnic with the Smiths. Lots of cousins, food, laughs, and a nice hot day.  Gab had to give herself a little break in Stella's car seat.  She was beat!!! She loves her cousins.
I love mothers day. And I really sure love my mothers too, both are just the best!

We also hit my mom and dads after the park.  Lets just say, the heat did them both in. Gabby was so not ready to lea'b but she was tired anyway.  Miss Stella had a strong opinion if ANYONE besides me was even so much as looking at her.... Oh boy!  She was super tired.  Church, park (+heat), then off to grandma#2's house!
Too much fun for one chubby hippo.

The best part about mothers day?  I think It makes me so grateful for my kids.  I am super duper, over the moon, in love with both of my babies.  I get upset, overwhelmed, tired and then some at times but I never stop loving them for a moment.  No matter how I feel they make me smile and laugh and cry from loving them so hard.  I just appreciate that I was given the opportunity and blessing to be a mother to THEM!  I can't wait to continue to watch them grow.

I love you Gabby and Stella Jane!

Tea for Me and Tea for You

Today we went to a Mother's Day Brunch at our neighbors house.  We had such a great time making a "flower corsage" for mommy and decorating a picture frame for our mommy daughter pictures.  It was so fun to get together with friends and our daughters.  We ate delishious sandwiches, strawberries, tastey treats, and sipped our pink tea! We had such a great time!
Thanks to Aileen, who is amazing!
(Did I mention that I LOVE my neighborhood!)
